When we arrived at this west Sussex garden the client had recently finished a modern build extension doubling the living space of an old Georgian property. We were asked to marry a new single storey glass and white rendered extension with the existing red brick house. A keen gardener, the client wanted a very special working garden incorporating orchards, greenhouse, vegetable and cutting gardens, which should appear an ornamental garden. The gardens are framed by hedges and a formal box garden and lime avenue.
