This garden on the Bramham estate south of Wetherby sits on a flat site surrounded by arable farmland. This new farmhouse needed anchoring to the land.
Beech hedges snake through the garden providing pockets of much needed protection against the wind. The planting is a restricted palette of grasses and perennials planted in geometric blocks, which seem to be on the move across the garden buffeted by the wind, blurring the garden and landscape.
